The procedure

At Rivé Plastic Surgery, we offer both options when appropriate. Upper-lid surgery usually takes 45 minutes to one hour, while combined upper and lower lid work may take around two hours. Incisions are placed within natural creases or lash lines so scarring is minimal and discreet.
Blepharoplasty procedure recovery & aftercare
Recovery from eyelid surgery tends to be relatively easy. You can expect some swelling, bruising, and sensitivity around your eyes for the first week, and then you should be comfortable returning to your normal activities within 10 to 14 days. Cold compresses, ointments, head elevation, and sun protection are key parts of your aftercare routine. Final results will be more apparent over several weeks as swelling slowly subsides.
